Cancellation policy

There are no fees to book, change, or cancel your cruise or tour. Our standard cancellation policy is in our Terms & Conditions, but many cruise lines and travel providers have modified their individual cancellation policies to allow customers more flexibility in managing their travel dates. The Cruise Specialist can help answer any questions you may have about your upcoming cruise plans, offer advice concerning your travel provider’s specific policies, sailing updates, and cancellation requirements. Travel Provider’s cancellation and rebooking policies are changing daily with many announcing generous, traveler-friendly policies that encourage travelers not to outright cancel but instead just delay their vacation. We are seeing more and more travelers doing just that – not cancelling and instead pushing their vacation out a few months, and just like the rest of the world, waiting a while for the virus to pass and then continuing with their lives again.

*** Below you will find a list of when the cruise lines are planning to resume itineraries, as well as links to their policy covering future cruise credits and refunds on canceled sailings. We have also provided links to relaxed cancellation terms for bookings on future sailings.

The global cruise industry is reopening as the U.S. and many other countries are going to allow cruise ships to visit as long as passengers and crew have been vaccinated.

Itineraries that have already been approved include sailings visiting Alaska, Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean, Europe, Galapagos, Mexico & Central America, Northern Europe and Tahiti.

Every cruise on this list is available for booking now and several departures sold out within hours of listing.

In other news, at least nine ships have just been approved by the CDC to operate “test cruises” to determine whether masking and distancing and other protocols would be sufficient to enable cruises for passengers who have NOT been vaccinated. The test cruises will occur in June, July and August and we are hopeful that the CDC will grant approval for these ships to return to operation soon after the tests are completed. We will be the first to announce (here and in our newsletter) when cruises that do not require a vaccine go on sale and what the safety protocols will be.

Below are links to each cruise line’s policy covering FCCs and refunds on cancelled sailings and relaxed cancellation terms for bookings on future sailings.
